Spring 2016 Festival

Welcome to the website for the Spring 2016 BMCC Student Film Festival presented by the Video Production Club! We hope to see you all at the festival on May 20th at 6pm. The festival takes place at the Borough of Manhattan Community College at 199 Chambers Street, NY, NY, 10007.  The films will all screen in Theatre 1. If you are not a student, please bring an ID to check-in at security and they will direct you to Theatre 1.

Submissions for the Spring 2016 festival are open! Please visit the submissions page for more info! Submission deadline is May 13th, 2016. There are a few rules all submissions are required to abide by.

• Films must be less than 15 minutes.
• A BMCC student MUST have worked in at least one “above the line” position on the film (director, writer, or producer).
• Films MUST not have played at a previous BMCC Student Film Festival.
• Films must have been completed sometime AFTER the last festival (Dec 3, 2015).
• Films preferably are not uploaded on any online medium publicly (YouTube, Netflix, Vimeo). This is to maintain the exclusivity of the festival. Why go to see a film you can see online for free? After the festival, you may upload your film online.
